QYS Travel Soccer Program
2024 FALL TRAVEL TEAMSTEAM PLACEMENT:
Team placement notification for QYS's Fall Travel Program have been sent to all players. Initial deposits of $100 were due on 7/14 to secure your spot on a roster. If you have not paid this amount, please do so ASAP. If you need more time to make a payment, please reach out to the travel registrar ASAP at [email protected] If we do not hear from you, we will assume your player is no longer interested in participating and his/her roster spot may be offered to another player. NEW PLAYERS: You will need to order a uniform for the upcoming season as soon as possible. For travel, QYS does NOT provide your uniform kit. You must order it yourself prior to the start of the season. Once you pay your initial deposit, you will receive a number assignment from our Travel Registrar. If you have paid your deposit but have not yet received an assignment, please reach out to [email protected] Note that since number assignments are made to a very large group of players, number requests cannot be made. ORDERING UNIFORMS: Once your number has been assigned by our travel registrar, go to Quincy Youth Soccer | WeGotSoccer.com to order your player's uniform. It is recommended to order as soon as possible to arrive prior to season. There are kids, men’s and women’s sizes. Please note the kid’s and men’s size shorts are knee length, the women’s short are mid-thigh length. The kits (shirt/shorts/socks) are $78.00. Please use the code QUINCYREWARD at checkout to save 10%. You can also purchase QYS clothing by clicking on fanwear. Note: If you already purchased a uniform in previous years, you do NOT need to purchase another one. ROSTER PHOTO REQUIREMENT: The SSSL requires every player to have an updated headshot photo every two years. So, any NEW player/coach as well as RETURNING player/coach that has a photo that is > 2 years will need to upload a new photo. The photo should be like one you would have on a license or passport: 1. The photo is a headshot (shoulder/head only) 2. No HATS/ headbands, or sunglasses 3. Make sure the picture is not blurry. 4. Pictures taken in the horizonal format tend to be easier to upload. The QYS Travel Program
The QYS Travel program is a competitive program for players who are ready to make more of a commitment to soccer. Travel players will represent Quincy in the South Shore Soccer League, competing against players from other towns in our area. The QYS Travel program has separate Spring and Fall season, with separate team selection for each season. The Fall season is really a developmental program (no standings and no playoffs), while the Spring season is more competitive. Any questions? Contact our Travel Registrar at: [email protected] |

Cost: The cost to play on a REVs coached fall travel team is $400 and a traditional fall travel is $200.00 The cost for a new travel uniform kit is about $70. We have new kits for travel that include kids, men’s and women’s sizes.
Notification: You will be notified regarding your preliminary team placement before the season. You will be required to pay an initial fee of $100 before the season to reserve your spot on the team. (We are required to get our final rosters to the SSSL early, so this initial payment helps us verify our team numbers for submission). The 2nd payment of $300/$100 (Revs/traditional) is due before the start of the season.
Team Placement: Although we would like to offer an opportunity for every player that attends tryouts a spot on a team, this is not always possible. We are required to have a team maximum and minimum of players and occasionally the numbers do not work out. If this happens, we will let players know they are on the wait list. If any player declines a spot or does not pay the initial $100 by the preliminary deadline, the player/s on the wait list will be offered a spot.
In-house and Travel: Although it is encouraged, it is not required to play in our in-house league to play travel in the Fall.
Training: Typically 2x/week, when and where will depending on field and coaches availability.
Games: Our travel teams are placed in the SSSL. Games usually take place on Saturdays, but it is also possible to have games on Sunday or Friday night. In the spring there are playoff for U12 and above that usually takes place mid June. Go to www.southshoresoccer.com for more information.
Travel Coaching: We are always actively seeking coaches and assistants. If you are new to coaching in the travel program, we ask that you fill out a coach application. If you have previously coached travel and have already filled out an application, please notify the VP of Travel of your continued interest in coaching. Application and notification are due in December. The number of coaches, players interested in playing travel will determine how many teams we can submit into the SSSL, so please consider getting involved! How to print out color rosters
Once SSSL releases printable rosters, all coaches will be responsible for providing 2 copies of their printed, in color, rosters for EVERY GAME. (If
you use the player pass, you need 2 copies of their roster as well.) *Note that rosters are printed through the SSSL SportsPilot account which is
different from the QYS SportsPilot account. Logins are below.
